The credential is never exposed
In both cases the carrier credentials are stored on the server. Never in a spreadsheet, an email, or on the user's screen.
What it does not do
- It does not book or dispatch the shipment: it prepares the calculation, booking happens with your carrier.
- It does not set the rate: what it shows is your own quote, not a guaranteed price.
- Class is calculated by density; if your product has a specific code, confirm it with your carrier.
